This game was a well-fought battle through eight innings. Koyo Aoyagi was his usual (?) steady (?) self, throwing 7 shutout innings and allowing just 5 base runners. When the Tigers got the chance in the ninth inning, they put this one out of reach with a huge Jerry Sands home run and a bunch of stolen bases to put pressure on the last-place Baystars. Weekends in Kanto have gone quite well for Hanshin so far this year!
