Year-End Housekeeping

Hey everyone! Thanks for coming back to H-TEN (Hanshin Tigers English News) again and again throughout 2015. It has been a fun year following the team, and I have made a lot of inroads when it comes to broadening my circle of friends/acquaintances in the Hanshin Tigers community as well as in the NPB world.

Just a few things I want to update. First, the Facebook H-TEN page has gotten a new makeover thanks to the winner of the logo design contest! Feel free to check it out and leave a comment on the logo. Here it is below as well:

Second, there’s still time to support the Kickstarter campaign that guarantees you 36 exclusive articles in 2016! (These will be available only to those who back the campaign!) Click on the link above or the picture below for details. Offer expires this Saturday, January 2. If I do not reach the target goal by then, no one pays and the deal is off. I really hope it does not come to that, so I urge you… if you believe in rewarding quality work with appropriate funding, consider helping H-TEN out!

On a side note, my son (2 years, 2 months old) has been obsessed with Rokko Oroshi lately and can sing nearly the whole thing by heart without my help! He also fell asleep this afternoon for his nap by asking me to sing him the players’ cheer songs. No word of a lie or exaggeration, either. I sang Toritani, then he said “more.” Then I sang Uemoto, he said “more.” Eventually I ran out of songs to sing but fortunately he fell asleep. I’ve got a little Tigers fan on my hands, that’s for sure!

この頃、僕の２歳２ヶ月の息子はめちゃくちゃタイガースにハマってて、「六甲おろし」を１番から３番まで全部歌えるようになっています！それに、今日の昼寝の子守唄は、選手のヒッティングマーチでした！鳥谷、上本、ゴメス、マートン、福留、今成くらいで爆睡してた。一つ歌い終わったら、「More」（もう一曲）を言って、パパが次の選手の応援歌を歌ってました。来年は甲子園へ連れて行くしかないかもしれない！（ちなみに、今年はすでにデビューしました。残念ながらカープに完敗された試合でした。）
