Manager Akihiro Yano decides to give cleanup hitter Yusuke Ohyama the day off. Rookie Teruaki Sato gets his first start at third base, where he played his whole college career but where has yet to play a regular-season inning as a pro. And let’s give him the responsibility of batting fourth, too. Looks like a questionable lineup decision. Then, starter Joe Gunkel put the leadoff man on every inning while he was on the bump. The Tigers were down by a pair and the game looked like it was going the Carp’s way. Not if our rookie can help it! His five-RBI day carried the team to a huge win, and once again, we can go to work happy on Monday (six-for-six on Sundays so far this year)!
