Friday and Saturday, the Tigers lost primarily due to untimely two-run home runs, and a lack of hitting. Mostly, a lack of hitting. On this day, it was not so much the lack of hitting (though chances were once again blown) as a complete shellacking of our pitchers, as the Baystars hit four balls into the stands, while all of our hits stayed in play. The result is the Tigers’ first three-game (losing) sweep of the season, their first at Koshien against the Baystars in six years, and a 4-11 home record since the start of interleague. This is what a slump looks like.
