Neither of these teams looked like the ones that combined for 27 hits and 13 runs on Tuesday. Perhaps that is a good thing, though, as it was getting a little old seeing our team falling deep into holes early in games. This time around, Masashi Itoh pitched masterfully, with the lone run he surrendered coming as a result of a throwing error by our shortstop. Interestingly, the Tigers’ runs also came after the Dragons’ shortstop committed a fatal error. It was also nice to see captain Yusuke Ohyama redeem himself with a game-winning RBI on a 3-0 count, broken-bat single, especially after his first two at-bats had the crowd ready to send him to the farm. The four-game losing streak is over, and it will be up to Shintaro Fujinami to make this the beginning of a winning streak tomorrow.
