After a day off Thursday and a rainout on Friday, it was about time we had some baseball to watch, was it not? The adversary looked good, though, as the Chunichi Dragons have been on a roll lately. Let’s also not forget that their ace, last year’s Sawamura Award winner Yudai Ohno, had a career 1.89 ERA against our team heading into this one. He lowered that figure by game’s end. But guess what? Haruto Takahashi showed that he can be a force down the stretch, going 7 strong and fanning 10 while surrendering just two hits. Kento Itohara came through for him with a big RBI double in the sixth, and that was all the scoring that either team managed. Tigers win!
