It has been quite the rough go of things this season. Perhaps the truest telling of the state the team was in came during their series in Yokohama in April, in which they got swept. We NEVER get swept by the Baystars on the road. Their ballpark is our place to party, to hit like crazy, and to stimy their batters. Though this series was just a two-gamer because of the rain, this definitely felt a lot more like a classic series at Yokohama Stadium. The bats did more than enough (in fact, reaching double-digits in hits in two straight games for the first time this season!) and the starters were quite good, too. Koyo Aoyagi had his start pushed back a day but still had a quality start (6 IP 2 R), and Aaron Wilkerson followed it up with an even better outing (6 IP 1 R). The team now has its best win percentage of the season (a measly .350 but still!) and is just 2.5 games away from escaping the cellar.
