Coming off the successful interleague session (12-6), the Tigers were looking to continue their push back to respectability. All that stood in their way were two pitchers who have extremely good track records at Koshien Stadium: Shota Imanaga and Haruhiro Hamaguchi. They were no match for our guys, particularly Yusuke Ohyama who went yard on them three times combined. We even had a nice 3-0 lead on Sunday and looked to sweep the Baystars out of town, but alas, it just was not meant to be. Still, we are now in 3rd place in the Central League! Let’s keep pushing for better, guys! Next up: a .500 record! After that, second place! And if miracles still happen, maybe even a pennant? Ha, for that to happen, the Swallows need to start losing…

I was previously getting e-mails about these recaps in my inbox, but those have stopped for the last several weeks. Do you know why that would be?
Good question. I experienced some major problems with the site a few weeks ago and deactivated all plugins. Since then, the site has been much speedier and I have brought back some of the plugins… perhaps one of them needs to be activated or updated and then you’ll get them again. I’ll try to look into it when I get the time. Thanks for alerting me to this problem.
