The weather in Hiroshima was not great this week. The farm boys had a road trip out that way, too, and had two games called due to rain. The top squad only did a half-game better. Tuesday’s game was played to completion (and what a game it was!), but Wednesday got called before it even started. One could question whether Thursday’s tilt should have happened in the first place, or if it shouldn’t have been called in the third when the rains were at their worst. Nevertheless, they pushed through and played the five innings required to make the game official. Halfway through our first at-bat of the sixth, the teams retreated to their dugouts, never to return to the field. We come home to face the Yakult Swallows over the weekend at Koshien, with a 4-1 record!
