I’ll be honest with you, and you can be honest with me. When I heard that it was going to be Koyo Aoyagi – Yuki Nishi – Masashi Itoh against the Dragons at home, I felt a sweep was highly likely. So did you, right? Well, Aoyagi flopped in the first inning, Nishi did the same in the second inning, and Itoh allowed 11 hits in 6 innings. Still, in two of the three games, our guys came to life in the final third of the game, and squeezed past the last-place Dragons – the only team in NPB that has not reached 10 wins. The best news of all, is that it appears that Teruaki Sato has found his swing once again! Up next: a road series against the third-place Hiroshima Carp. Be prepared for rain this weekend, though!
