For the second straight Monday, a game between the Tiger and Carp was called due to inclement weather. For myself, personally, this was a big-time bummer because I was at Koshien Stadium with a crew from CNN (yes, THE CNN) and we were to film footage of fans and so on from the actual game that was to take place. So even though there was no win or loss on that day, it was a letdown. Tuesday, the team failed to score a single run and allowed two unearned runs en route to a shutout loss. Then Wednesday, I guided a group of roughly 20 university students from the USA and although they say they had a wonderful time, the Tigers put up a single run for them. I have brought JapanBall to something like 9 Tigers games over the years, and the team’s record in those games is a disappointing (unthinkable) 0-8-1. I hope this fall brings about better results when they roll through Kansai again…
