The Yomiuri Giants (who seem to be trying to rebrand themselves as the Tokyo Giants based on uniforms and caps with a TG logo) have good pitching. Don’t get me wrong. But our team has been struggling mightily at the dish for some time now, and this weekend was no exception. A no-hitter on Friday, three runs on Saturday, and just five hits (and one run) on Sunday. The thing is, the Hanshin Tigers also have excellent pitching. Giving up just three runs against that team is quite the feat. Too bad it has resulted in a series loss. Ah well. On to interleague next week! Beat down the Pacific League, Tigers!
